Original Post from September 2018
I am a big fan of silly things, what could be more silly than a zombie bunny????
This is a modification to my Crocheted Egg Bunny Pattern. You must purchase the pattern in order to complete this project.
Materials:
- G or H hook (I used an H hook)
- Worsted weight yarn in green, grey/black, pink and red. I used: ILTY Mid Green, ILTY Stonewashed in Dark Grey, Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Pink.
- Black cotton yarn for the stitches
- 13mm safety eyes. I use these.
- Polyfil
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Follow the Crocheted Egg Bunny Pattern with the following exceptions:
Ears:
‘“Bitten” ear – make as directed in pattern starting with green. Switch to pink in the following parts:
- Round 5 – stitches 6-8
- Round 6 – stitches 5-9
- Round 7 – stitches 6-8
Make sure to knot and secure your color changes. Before closing up the ear.
Stitched Ear – Make ear as directed in its entirety, then use the black cotton yarn to embroider stitches.
Feet:
Make in green and as directed in pattern.
Body:
Place one eye as directed in the pattern. Then stitch your X for the other eye and make any scar stitches you wish. Embroider nose as directed using the grey/black color.
Finish rest of body as directed.
Tail:
Make tail using the grey/black color.
Assembly:
As directed in the pattern.
All done!!!!!!
