Materials:

  • G or H hook for the bunny (I used a G hook) / D hook for the hat
  • Worsted weight yarn in Green, off white, black, gold and a little brown for the nose
  • 8mm safety eyes
  • Polyfil
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle

Ears:

Make 2 as directed in the pattern in off white

Feet:

Make in black and as directed in pattern

Body: *note that round 8  below is an EXTRA row. You will have 7 middle rows instead of 6 for the Leprechaun Bunny*

Rounds 1-7: Green

Round 8: Black

Round 9 – end: off white

Place eyes as directed in the pattern, but account for your  extra row.

Embroider nose as directed. Sew on buckle over the black row and under the nose with gold color.

Finish rest of body as directed

Tail:

Make tail using the of white. Or make it fun by using rainbow colors!!!

Hat:

With green and D Hook

Round 1: MR CH2, 10 DC, join to first DC (10)

Round 2: CH2, BLO – DC in each DC. (10)

Round 3: CH1, FLO – 2SC in each stitch (20)

Leave long tail for sewing.

Now using the black yarn, stitch a band around the hat right above the brim. Then take the gold and stitch on a buckle.  Tie all ends except for the end for sewing in a knot and use that as your stuffing. Trim as needed.

Assembly:

As directed in the pattern, except for the ears.

Place the hat in the center of the head. Then attach the ears on either side.

All done!!!!!!
