I've had a love for crafts and handmade things since I was very young.  My father fueled this passion of mine by finding me the greatest supplies and crafting with me. I learned everything from watercolors, beading, polymer clay and making potholders.  You name it I tried it! My mother would make beautiful cross stitching and take me to arts and crafts shows where I would just be amazed at what people could come up with!  When I was about nine, my Grandmother tried to teach me how to crochet.  She taught me how to make little rugs for my doll house.  Unfortunately, being 9, I lost interest not long after that.  About 15 years ago, I decided to try to teach myself.  I bought books and any tutorials I could get my hands on (this was before YouTube!).  I would message my Aunt on how to do things as well since I always admired the beautiful afghans she would make.

I would pick crocheting up and put it back down over the years until about 4 years ago.  At that time I started making little cozies for my coffee cups.  The my boss at my job at the time requested one with a mustache on it.  Then I started getting orders for all sorts of things, from hats to tablet cozies.  And that's when Kathy's Kozies was started!

In January 2017 I joined a unique and beautiful gift shop in Belford, NJ called the Junction Boutique.  Over the past year I watched my hobby become a business. I've pushed my skills further than I ever thought possible.

The majority of the items I sell are of my own patterns, unless it is noted otherwise.  Over this year, I will be sharing my patterns and tips that I have learned a long the way.

In 2018, my husband and I started a crafts supply, gift and personalizations business called Forget-Me-Not Creations LLC.  Kathy's Kozies is a part of this business which specializes in laser cutting and engraving.  Over the course for this year you will see some wood buttons, tags and other items we have created on this site as well.
