Even though I love all things beach and ocean related, Fall is my favorite season! Crisp air, sweater weather, yummy hot drinks and of course pumpkins!
This is a quick Appliqué that are perfect to embellish cozies and more!
What you need:
- Size G crochet hook
- Small amounts of orange and brown worsted weight yarn
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
Pumpkin is worked in joined rounds.
With a magic circle…
Round 1: CH1, 12 DC in ring, join to first stitch.
Round 2: CH1, SC in first st., SC, 2HDC, 2DC, 2HDC, SC in next 2, 2 HDC, 2 DC, 2 HDC, SC in last 2, join to first stitch. (18)
Round 3: CH1, skip first stitch, SC, 2SC, SC, 2SC, SC, 2SC, SC, SS in next 2, SC, 2SC, SC, 2SC, SC, 2SC, SC, SS in last. (23)
Fasten off an leave long tail for sewing.
Attach brown at last SS in round 3
CH4, SC in 2nd CH from hook, SC in next, Skip last CH and join to first CH 1 of Round 3.
You will have a gap as shown between the two joining brown stitches. You will fill this in when sewing on the Appliqué as shown below.
