Who said giving gift cards had to be boring? I don’t know about you, but I always feel weird just giving a gift card. I always feel the need to do something else with it.
Enter in the Heart Pouch Pattern! Not only is this pattern so easy to whip up (no sewing except for the button), but it will bring a smile to whoever you are gifting it to. And if you are giving it to a pizza lover, this mod is for you!
- H 5mm & F 3.75mm hook
- Cotton or Acrylic Worsted Weight Yarn in gold, red and brown. I used acrylic for the pouch and cotton for the pepperoni
- Heart Pouch Pattern found in my Etsy
- ¾” – 1” buttons. I used these
Make pouch as directed in the pattern with the following color changes.
Rounds 1-9: Cheese color. Fasten off.
Round 10: Red. Replace with *SC in BLO in first 3, SC in next* repeat around
Remaining Rounds: Crust color.
******Make sure you are still doing the SLST’s in the sides of Round 10 as directed. This helps with the roundness of the bumps and continuity.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
Optional: Make and attach “pepperoni”.
With F hook. Make 6-8 HDC into a MR. Fasten off, sew on to pouch.
You may also choose to put a patch on the back like these “You have a pizza my heart” patches!
